An earthquake in Northern California began my Sunday with a post on Facebook from my sister living in the area. This is one of the informative things about Facebook or Twitter.

I am thankful after my sister says that she felt an earthquake, she was able to reply that she was A-Ok. This is one of the quick benefits of social media. Use it to reach out to those who matter to you the most!
Today, I watched on disc two of The Blacklist. On it, the Executive Producers commented on how they filmed the 1st two-parter in the series. After two discs of the series, I am glad that they offered so many of these commentaries. It gave commentaries on the Pilot and the episode entitled, Anslo Garrick. The commentaries gave me more of the reasons and depth of the story that the creators wanted for the series. It shows that complexity of one’s character and personality that there is no clear good –vs- bad theme that seems so simplistic in our childhood days.
In one of the special features, and something to look forward to next month, one of the creative staff said that Season 2 one of the storylines will answer this question: What happened to Red's family?
Ten days ago, I mentioned the Global Leadership Summit. Because of the nationwide summit, I ran across this book by Bill Hybels entitled, “Axiom: Powerful Leadership Proverbs.” It includes 76 short chapters to use as leadership principles, divided into four categories.
Category 1 |
Vision & Strategy |
Category 2 |
Teamwork & Communication |
Category 3 |
Activity & Assessment |
Category 4 |
Personal Integrity |
In one of the first five chapters, as I start reading the book, Hybels writes: “the crispest articulation of vision is that it’s a `picture of the future that produces passion in people.’”
I will give more personal details and comments about what I discover in the posts. So many leaders need to sharpen the saw to be more effective in their important roles.
