Since the government
shutdown ended, my 50th birthday celebration trip to Washington D.C. can go
forward now! For certain sites, I was a little concerned what I could visit with the shutdown. My Sunshine and I planned this last December.
The White House tours has reopened after months of not being
offered to visitors. If it doesn't happen, though, I will be a-Ok.
After
reaching out to my U.S. Congressman's office, they have arranged the following
sites to visit:
- Bureau of Engraving and Printing
- Tour of the Capitol
- Library of Congress
- Tour of the Kennedy Center
- Supreme Court
Since this will be my 1st
extended visit to the nation’s capital, does anyone have any other sites to
visit, as I plan this visit in the coming weeks?
