As a man who was born and raised in Hawaii, I keep track on what's going on in the Aloha State. In a lot of ways, it will still be my home. Even though I am thousands of miles away, the good of Hawaii will always be a part of me, the Aloha Spirit and from a culture that mixes many races and lifestyle on a small island of Oahu.
I miss the afternoons spending on sitting on the wall at Ala Moana Park watching the waves crashing upon the shores as the tradewinds blow to provide the natural air conditioner. My mouth waters every time going to Foodland for my Ahi/Aku Poki and/or my Lomi Salmon.
I wish at anytime I could stop off at any of the many places for a plate of Lau Lau and Chicken long rice.

Or I remember many occasions having a late lunch at Hee Hing with my noodle in soup.
Hee Hing restaurant: Look Fun in soup with Roasted Duck
It was great heading or meeting up with my friends or family to know what's been going on in their lives. What better setting or backdrop scenery than Hawaii? But for me, without getting into the ocean. ...

Living in the eastern time zone, doesn't really afford a marketable area where Hawaiian food or culture can flourish, to make a profit. I always had a vision where people who have the same interest can interact, converse on the Internet, because it is the best tool of reaching out to others with the same interest. But for some reason, this doesn't happen, as sad as it sounds. I am putting this out for anyone to read to reach out and contact me to share a common recreation of things we have learned living on the mainland, but missing some of the values, foods, people, and culture of the 50th state!
