It's been a long month since I last posted my thoughts. Last Friday, it was a long nine days working straight in the row. Saturday and Sunday I was off. I worked yesterday, and I'm off on today and Wednesday. I am learning more and more each day. Working during those days has been a test of being flexible to handle all the different changes happening in our economy, as businesses tries to survive! And, I will definitely commit to anyone who any company I work for that will definitely survive! I have always worked this way with every company I have worked for. If I don't have a passion for the company, that's when I move on. I don't foresee moving forward now, unless the people don't treat me with the respect and dignity of what is basic in the business world. Actually, I am hoping that this will be the company where I will retire.
I am determined in many ways to continue to role model an example of what I would wish for others in the same role in life. And I will continue to learn to be more approachable for the years to come. I have learned a lot about how the new method of leading teams are different than when I first started over two decades ago! The willingness to be more approachable doesn't mean that I will compromise my core values.
Since the last post, the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup series started, and has completed three racetracks. I am glad that Carl Edwards snapped his 70-race winless streak on March 3 with the race on Phoenix International Raceway. The new formation of the Generation 6 car providing the entertainment for the race fans has gotten overall good reviews. It looks like it'll be an interesting beginning of the season. I just wish that Jimmie Johnson and Denny Hamlin would not be in the top 5. Let's hope that it'll be the build up for a compelling story in September at ChicagoLand Speedway. My Sunshine and I will be headed there for the race and a little sightseeing around the big city.
After this, we are planning a trip to Washington D.C. to celebrate my 50th birthday. It'll be a celebration of the ideal of our political system, and the history of the nation's capital. I am a little troubled with the budget sequester because I may not be able to take a tour of the White House, the people's house. The politicians can't seem to agree to cut funds from another area of the budget.
Next month, my Sunshine and I will be making a trip to DisneyWorld. We are meeting up with Edwina, my sister who lives in Hawaii. I look forward to a visit there during the spring.
I look forward to the pictures and thoughts during these upcoming visits.
