Today, I am leaving on a learning trip to Orlando for company #10. I will be away from the DVR. It was really cool that yesterday, my wife and I spent time watching the television from the programs we "taped" on the DVR. We had a lot of shows that we had to catch up on before I left. If not, there wouldn't be any shows that we could have taped this week while I was gone.
It amazes me that there are over 200 television stations offered to many of us, yet there are moments that we don't find at any given time live on television. Thank goodness right now for the nine programs that produces good programming.
I thought that I would rank the shows that I watch according to what I like the most.
The Mentalist The Red John storyline has been really interesting. Last season's finale was one of the best dialogue scene between Patrick Jane and "Red John (the man who claimed that he was Red John). This is one of the best shows on television.
Criminal Minds As I would not want to meet in person serial murderers, it's interesting getting into the mind of the criminals who do commit these crimes.
Person of Interest This show would be ranked higher if there would broadcast for more seasons. I think the main two character is really interesting. Wouldn't it be great to help others if you were a billionaire?
Unforgettable Who wouldn't want to remember every little detail. I need really to improve in this area because it is something that I am really struggling with.
Hawaii Five-O (2010-) I appreciate the good representation of the culture of Hawaii. This year the storyline has really not been the same, though.
CSI: Miami & CSI: NY The entire series is a great premise for any story.
Bones The dialog for this show has always been above the normal intellegience.
CSI I haven't really liked the character of Lawrence Fishburne and Ted Danson. I still like the series premise.
From news stories right now, it seems like certain shows are on the borderline for renewal for the 2012 season. The shows that are on the fence are: CSI New York, CSI Miami, Unforgettable and Person of Interest. The shows which are positioned to get renewed are: CSI, The Mentalist, and Hawaii Five-O. The only show that seems to be secured for renewal is Criminal Minds.
If you all like any of these shows that are on the fence or are in positioned to get renewed now is the time to watch them because who know? They might not be back next season. That would definitely be a shame.
