At this point approaching three years working
at the same company, I have now earned two weeks of vacation. The other week for my vacation this year will
happen on July 8-14, 2010. We are not
planning anything “big;” we have to save money for the vacation plans later
this year to DisneyWorld and the Harry Potter theme park. We also have a flying airplane trip most
likely to Northern California for my niece’s high school graduation next year.
I thought I would take more time to complete
tasks around the apartment, continue to plan more for the upcoming intense
schedule at work with new procedures to deliver guests orders. I have a lot to accomplish in my professional
development plan. There are a lot of
projects to do, to learn about the company’s business.
We planned to attend the NASCAR Sprint Cup race again
this year in Bristol, but it’ll fall in the blackout months that my workplace
will not allow at least three days off in a row, which is needed minimal for
the race weekend. That’s sad, but
obviously a part of work like—which I sense many workers may not know about
from what I manage and from what I hear around the workplace. I think that it all works out the way it
should because the cost of going would put a dent in our finances, so it will
all work out the say that it should with our Florida trip in December. It’s disappointing that we won’t be able to
visit a racetrack in the 2010 season. Thank goodness for television,
DVR, and RaceTrack.
