Missing that “5” dining experience … at El Pollo Loco!

While visiting El Pollo Loco yesterday, I noticed something that was missing.  It’s something that might seem like a small thing but it’s noticeable, nonetheless.  The El Pollo Loco that we visit on a regular basis has this one manager, Marvin, who is always friendly and goes above and beyond what is expected from the restaurant chain.  I remember during the Southern California visits to the chain when I lived there, I didn’t get the consistent service standards that Marvin carries his work ethic during work.  He would make sure that he’ll throw away our finished trash at the table, and ensure that we’d have our take out containers, too!  The last couple of times that my Sunshine and I drove down to the location, we haven’t seen him.  We were told yesterday that he is working at a nearby location, but still father away from out hometown.  The food has been great the last times, but the service hasn’t been the same.
